BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA – August 1, 2018 – Ventura Partners, a leading innovator in talent acquisition and leadership advisory, announced today the addition of sports industry veteran Katy Young Staudt as Managing Director in its Sports & Entertainment Practice. Staudt will open a Ventura office in Phoenix. The S & E practice, led by Ventura partner Chad Chatlos, is one of the preeminent leaders in college and professional sports searches, leading searches for college athletic directors, commissioners, premier coaches and senior executives across all of sports. Ventura has recently completed searches for clients including Ole Miss, Clemson, Penn State, Texas A&M, Auburn, Iowa, Utah, Kansas State, Nebraska and Purdue.

Over the past decade and a half, Staudt has established herself as one of the most trusted and influential search consultants in the sports and entertainment worlds. During her time at Witt/Kieffer and Eastman & Beaudine, Staudt conducted numerous searches for Division I head coaches and directors of athletics, and has worked closely with clients across professional sports properties including MLB, NBA, NHL, PGA TOUR, USTA, Churchill Downs, and more. Staudt has also served as the Director of Recruiting for Learfield, Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing for the University of California-Riverside, and as a Vice President of Business Development for a national non-profit organization.

Staudt received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Tulsa. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for the NCAA Wayman Tisdale Freshman of the Year Award, and is currently serves on the Board of Directors for the College Football Assistance Fund. She was named a “Rising Star” in the Sports Industry by Partnership Activation Magazine and “30 under 30” in Sports by Sports Launch Magazine.
